Week of May 23, 2016

This Week at SNOW Swimming:

• Last week of short course training, regular schedule for all groups;

• NO WORKOUTS for any group this coming Saturday, Sunday or Monday, May 28-30 (Memorial Day Weekend);

• Long course training begins next Tuesday, May 31- check the club website for details (www.snowswimming.org)

• Registration for 2016-2017 is now open to returning SNOW families; registration opens to new families on June 1; All returning swimmers should be registered by June 10th.

Looking ahead:

• SNOW-hosted long course meet (heats and finals), June 17-19 at Claude Moore- check the club website for volunteer opportunities (www.snowswimming.org);

• SNOW summer recruiting will start next month with clinics and guest workouts across Loudon County- be sure to talk us up to your friends and neighbors!

This Week at SNOW Swimming:

• Regular schedule for all groups at all three sites;
• Registration for the 2016-2017 swim year is open to member families;
• SNOW student-athlete Award Winners: Jocelyn Nichols- 2016 Countrywide 7th Grade Persuasive Writing Essay Contest, sponsored by Harmony Middle School; Molly Watts- poem selected for publication in CreativeCommunication's 2016 National Anthology. Congratulations!
• Two weeks until long course training begins outside;
• Looking ahead: June 17-19, SNOW hosted long course meet at CM- please volunteer at every session your child swims in.

Week of May 9, 2016

This Week at SNOW Swimming:

• Thanks to all the parents who volunteered this past weekend at our meet! Larger than in years past, we needed every last person to help us run a successful meet- and thanks to all of you, we did!
• Regular schedule this week for all groups at all three locations;
• Coffee with Erik: for all Round Hill & Ida Lee families this Tuesday, May 10 at Georgetown Cafe on King Street in Leesburg, 6:30-7:30 p.m.;  for all Junior Gold families this Wednesday, May 11 at Panera in Sterling (just off Route 7) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Come by with any questions or feedback you might have;
• LOOKING AHEAD: 2016-2017 registration opens for current families today. Our June prelims/finals meet is right around the corner: June 17-19 at Claude Moore, make plans to volunteer & help our club.

Week of May 2, 2016

This Week at SNOW Swimming:

Regular schedule for all groups, Monday through Thursday;
-NO WORKOUTS FOR ANY GROUP AT ANY LOCATION, Friday PM through Sunday, May 6-8;
-SNOW hosted meet at Claude Moore, Friday PM through Sunday PM. Check the club website for details & volunteer opportunities (www.snowswimming.org);
-Adjusted workout schedule for Monday Morning, May 9: Claude Moore Sr. Gold, Sr. Silver and Jr. Gold, and Ida Lee Jr. Gold will all swim at Claude Moore starting at 5:15 a.m. on Mon, 5/9 (workout will be LCM);
-Congratulations to SNOW student-athletes Hannah Ye and Chloe Ramirez, both of whom have for the USA Triathlon National Championships to be held this coming July in Ohio- great job ladies!
